Have you ever known someone with impeccable timing? A person who always says the right thing, or does the right thing, at just the right time? Recently, Samaria Jefferson was described as having impeccable timing. Samaria is the wife of the Los Angeles Rams football player Van Jefferson. On February 13, she was 40 weeks pregnant and attended the Super Bowl to watch her husband play. She told her husband, “You play, I’ll see you at the hospital afterwards.” She also said, “I want to see him glorify God on the field that day. Just like any other game, I’m going to be there this Sunday and I’m going to stay calm … and pray to God my water doesn’t break.” You know what happened, don’t you? She went into labor. But she stayed at the stadium until the end of the game. Then she and her husband rushed to the hospital for the birth of their son.*

I’m sure you’ve heard the saying, “Timing is everything.” That’s true of God. He has divine timing. As Romans 5:6 says, “You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly.” (NIV)

So, how’s your timing? Did you know that today is the right time to encourage others? Hebrews 3:13 says, “But encourage one another daily, as long as it is called Today, so that none of you may be hardened by sin’s deceitfulness.” (NIV) So, encourage someone today!
